A medieval fortress built for defensive purposes. Ironically, in the 15th century, the fortress served as a good refuge for bands of robbers who roamed the country.

Restoration work was still underway here, and part of the fortress was under scaffolding. And admission was free. True, you couldn’t get through everywhere. Just like here. They securely protected it from people like us :)
