It seemed to me that I had stepped into a fairy tale....
San Michele is an island connected to the mainland by a causeway. Only a few dozen residents live here. And San Michele is also visited by about 3 million tourists a year. That is why we visited San Michele twice — first at night and then at 4 a.m.... But I liked San Michele much more at night.
That evening, near San Michele, a German orchestra gave a concert. It’s a pity we arrived at the end.
At low tide, you can walk around Mont Saint-Michel.
Parking. If only we had known—we would have flown here in our own plane and spent the night among these caravans.
