The little town of Najac is included in the list of the most beautiful villages in France. It really is very charming. But we came here because it has very beautiful ruins, built in 1253.
In this fortress, there are the world’s only arrow slits at a height of 6.8 meters. They were made so that three archers standing on top of one another could shoot through them at the same time.
In the 19th century, the castle was used as a quarry... Later, the castle was saved by a family who restored it and opened it to visitors.
For those who love ruins — a must-visit!

Do you know why this column has such a shiny handle on top? Because if you turn it, water will flow out of the column. Cool :)
