Prague

Cities · 5/3/2008 · Original language: Russian

Prague is very beautiful. But at the same time, very crowded, noisy, dirty.... I remember we would sneak out of the hostel at five in the morning and walk through the center. It was very striking. Silence, only street sweepers. And not a soul... And then, with the arrival of 9 a.m. - crowds of tourists, buses, a cacophony of sounds, smells... Chaos.

All big beautiful cities are like that. What can you do.

And also, never, never go to this hostel ("U bubenicku") - it's awful. In many ways, because of it Prague was perceived differently. Here I want to post photos of Prague, of what I liked or was struck by, or simply because that’s how it turned out that they are here.

Amazing thing, it turns out — as Volchezavyr figured out, they are used to protect the bridge from ice floes!

The towers are simply a fairy tale. For those who don’t know, this is the Church of Our Lady before Týn, located in the Old Town Square.

The park at this Wallenstein Palace is certainly beautiful, no doubt about it. By the way, the palace now serves as the meeting place of the Czech Senate.

Another station — the oldest in Prague — Masarykovo Nádraží. It’s somehow more pleasant than the main one.

The famous clock on the Town Hall. Every hour, a crowd gathers in front of the clock, and little figures move there to music. The skeleton moved the coolest.
