Today we’re heading further south, to the sea, to the town of Nerja.
On the way we decided to make a little stop and go to a restaurant.
It was Sunday and many places were closed, so we chose the one that was more or less on the way.
The restaurant was full of people, and we sat down at an available table.
The waitress immediately brought a white tablecloth, bread, and olives.
I just wanted to have a coffee, but it seems she decided that we were very hungry :)
So we asked for the menu.
I didn’t feel like eating anything. Serzhyk ordered something for himself and for me that was unclear.
They brought us two fried eggs — one with artichokes and jamón, the other with foie gras, jamón, and fried potatoes.
I took the artichokes for myself :) Serzhyk let me try a piece of foie gras — I could barely swallow it.
It’s hard to describe what it tastes like; it’s a bit like eating a piece of fat.
Then I read that it’s usually eaten on a piece of bread, maybe that would really have made it easier to digest.
