Day 24: September 12

Alpacas graze on the grounds of the ruins. We witnessed one of the alpacas go to the toilet in a specially designated place for this.

And indeed, the large green lawn was absolutely clean. How did they train them?

After visiting Ollantaytambo, we went to Cusco.

From the main square, “collectivos” depart — ordinary cars in which the driver looks for four passengers.

We drove for about half an hour and then stopped. The road was blocked.

Up on the mountain, an excavator was doing something, and rocks and even a tree were falling down.

We waited for about half an hour.

I thought it would take a long time — the road was completely covered with rocks.

But when the excavator finished, another one arrived and very quickly cleared the road.

In Cusco, we stay one night in a hotel not far from the center.
We went out for dinner at a charming little restaurant.
