Tinos | Andros

Day 10: September 6

The best beach of the whole trip, a delicious burger, and another stunning sunset

Tinos | Andros

Itinerary

We moved to the north of the island. It is wilder here, with a different landscape. Volchiy says, “It’s like on the Moon.”
All around us are hills with scorched shrubs of a dirty green color.

I realize that I already miss the trees. There are almost none here.

We live in a very beautiful little house.

Volchiy showed me how, with the help of the sun and a magnifying glass (at the bottom of a glass), you can burn things.

Today is the best beach of our whole trip. The sea is clean, azure, and calm. We snorkel for a long time.
Volchiy talks about the little fish, how he sprinkled pebbles underwater, and they thought it was food and swam up to him. And that’s how he gathered an entire school of fish.

Half of the beach is undeveloped, and on the other half there are sun loungers and a small café. The owner of the house where we are staying recommended that we try a burger at this café. The café owner raises cows himself.

We’re drinking beer, eating a burger (very tasty). Watching the sea. The sun is sinking toward sunset.

A pleasant feeling that life is good.
