Flowers. Aren’t they wonderful?
Terra Nostra Park - Ginetes
San Miguel 2025
São Miguel is an island of flowers, there are an incredible number of them here. So many different colors and shapes.
I had never seen anything like this before.
And these flowers grow right in flowerbeds, on someone’s property, or anywhere else.

Flowers. Aren’t they wonderful?

For coffee today, we have queijoada pastries that we bought yesterday. Delicious!
Today we check out of our little house and move to another one, on the opposite western side of the island.
On the way to the west side of the island, we stop at a hyped, one of the most popular tourist spots on the island - Parque Terra Nostra.
It is a botanical garden with a lake of warm water rich in iron. I really wanted to walk around the park and swim in the lake.
Our expectations were too high and, as often happens in such cases, we didn’t really like it.
The entrance is ridiculously expensive. There are lots of people.
We did swim in the lake, but even forgot to take a photo of it.
They say that the orange water in the lake, rich in iron, is very good for the joints.
The water was warm, around 38 degrees. It was very hot for me there :)

There are several small ponds in the park

Ginkgo biloba alley! I really wanted to see these trees :)

Ginkgo biloba leaves

It was still pretty there :)

This part of the park was lovely! It reminded me a little of the Amazon jungle.

Pond with Pink Lilies
By evening we reached our new place to stay.
From the outside, the little house looks very nice, but inside....
We were in such shock that we didn’t even take a single photo inside the house :)
But it is located on the outskirts of the village and has a huge area. It’s quiet here....

Our new house

We’re slowly settling in; I brought the chairs out onto the terrace

And we also have such a beautiful tree!
