Santa Cruz Promenade
Santa Cruz de La Palma
La Palma
Today is our last day on La Palma.
We arrive in the island’s capital, Santa Cruz.
At the port, we return the car.
By the way, you know, I realize that in a diary it’s impossible to fully convey the whole range of emotions and feelings.
Photos don’t capture all the beauty. And I don’t write much about what happens “behind the scenes.”
So here too — returned the car at the port — sounds simple, doesn’t it? :)
But in reality, we spent a little nerves and quite a lot of time on it, because at first it wasn’t clear how to get into that port, and then where to leave the car there. But we figured it out, everything is fine.
Is it worth writing about this? Sometimes I think not.
And sometimes I realize that people may get a false impression of us and our travels.
As if everything is so good and without problems. So I assure you — it varies :)
From the port to our accommodation in Santa Cruz — a 15-minute walk along the waterfront.

Santa Cruz Promenade

There are very cute little houses here

And this is our accommodation. We live in such a beautiful old house. On the first floor.

The accommodation feels like a museum :) Antique furniture from the early 20th century.

Beautiful, but it lacks natural light. The only source of light is the small windows in the door.
Let's go for a walk around the city. The combination of the ocean, old architecture, and mountains creates a very cozy atmosphere.

This is one of the city’s main streets. There are two main ones here :)
We definitely need a snack. We choose the popular café "El Cafe de Don Manuel".
It is located in the inner "courtyard" of a very beautiful building.
This time the café did not disappoint. Both the coffee and the pastries were very tasty.

Different Santa Cruz

The famous wooden royal balconies are one of the city’s main attractions.

Many streets are stairs because the city is built on a slope.

From the embankment, you can see how new buildings are gradually pushing out the old houses. And why can’t they build beautifully anymore now?....

Santa Cruz beach at sunset.
We walked a lot around Santa Cruz.
First together with Serzhyk, then on our own, and after dinner together again — through the city at night.
In the evening, when it got dark, it was very beautiful and magical.
