La Palma

Itinerary

Today we’re heading back home to Düsseldorf.

Remember I said we arrived in La Palma on the “last” flight.

So the way back isn’t easy.

First, at 6 a.m. we board the ferry to Tenerife.

The ferry was very comfortable.

There were almost no passengers, so we chose the best seats — at the bow of the ship, with an ocean view.

As we sailed, the sun was rising over the ocean, and the sky gradually changed colors — from dark blue to light blue.

At 9 a.m. we arrive in Tenerife, at the port of the city of Los Cristianos.

Los Cristianos somehow reminded me of Yalta. It’s very crowded here, with a promenade and restaurants.

There is a beach, but somehow it didn’t make me want to stay there. Besides, it wasn’t warm and it was cloudy.

The waterfront. Looking for coffee. At this hour, most cafés are still closed. And there isn’t a soul on the beach.

As a result, we drank terrible coffee in the café at the supermarket.

Our flight is only at five in the evening… We need to kill some time somehow.

The airport is not far, half an hour by bus.

We lay down for a bit to rest on the embankment :)

In the end, we decided to wait at the airport.

But we had plenty of time there, and we even drank beer, which, by the way, was very tasty.

And we arrived in Düsseldorf only at 11 p.m.

Meanwhile, while we were away, the chestnut trees bloomed in Düsseldorf. Photo from our balcony on April 22.
