Düsseldorf - Seville - Córdoba
Andalusia 2025
We flew to Seville. At the airport, we rented a car and immediately drove to Córdoba.
I found a café along the way, not far from the airport, where we planned to have coffee and maybe grab a bite to eat.
As soon as we walked in, I immediately wanted to run away from there.
The interior of the place was unexpected (again, expectations! I had imagined something quite different).

Started with coffee
The coffee was very tasty. We drank two cups each.
And we also ate a sandwich with jamón. It would seem - what could be so special about a sandwich with jamón. But it was so delicious!
The bread was a little toasted and drizzled with olive oil. How delicious it smelled!

By the way, it turned out that this café is already more than a hundred years old, and its owner is the third generation of the founder.
In Córdoba, we checked into an apartment on a small square with the lovely name “Olive Blossom”.

Our accommodation in Córdoba - a separate bedroom and living room.
After checking in, we went to a local pastry shop with good reviews.
There were indeed a lot of locals in the pastry shop. We bought a couple of pastries and some bread. But we didn’t like anything.
The pastries were too sweet, and the bread was nice, but not tasty.
In the evening, we went for a walk in the center of Córdoba.
It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the center from our accommodation.

In the center of Cordoba
We reached Córdoba’s main landmark — the Mezquita (Wikipedia).

The bell tower of the Mosque-Cathedral and the courtyard with palm trees

Beautifully decorated exterior walls of the Mosque

Square in front of the cathedral

We found a lovely square with orange trees. In fact, orange trees grow everywhere in Córdoba, just like chestnut trees in Kyiv.

I tasted one orange. It was almost inedible, very bitter. Then I read that it is a special variety used to make jam.

Dinner. In Andalusia, houses don’t have central heating, and the apartments are freezing. Heaters saved the day.
