Andalusia 2025

Itinerary

And so, we set off for Andalusia.
It is the warmest region in Europe. And of course, we wanted sunshine and warmth. And what did we get?
Seven out of eight days it rained. And what is even more unfortunate, while we were freezing in Andalusia, it was sunny and +20 degrees every day in Düsseldorf.

Considering that it rains in Andalusia on only about 50 days a year on average, you could say we hit the jackpot.
Or got another chance to realize that expectations very often poison our lives.

I would like to learn to accept reality as it is. Rain is rain.

To allow the rain to be. To allow myself to be who I am. And Serzhyk, to be who he is.

And probably until I learn that, there will be trips like this in my life. As reminders, as lessons.

Besides the rain, we got sick right before the trip.

The last time we were sick was more than a year ago, and now… Being sick while traveling is not great.

All week I had the feeling that I couldn’t fully perceive and feel life with all my strength.

As if my energy and emotions were turned down to the minimum. That’s life — different.

But there was a lot of beauty and goodness.

In total, over these 8 days we drove 800 km, walked about 50 km, tasted several dishes for the first time in our lives, crossed a suspension bridge 105 meters above the ground, drank 3 bottles of delicious Spanish wine, and bought Serzhyk a new belt made of Spanish cow leather :)
