Villanueva de la Concepción - Ronda
Andalusia 2025
Today we continue on to the town of Ronda.

On the way, we photograph beautiful landscapes and towns.

On the way to Ronda. There are so many mountains in Andalusia!
We are staying right in the center of Ronda, in the home of the wonderful host Jerónimo.
He was waiting for us like family.
He bought pastries, a bottle of wine, eggs (so we’d have something to make ourselves for breakfast!), and sliced some cheese and sausage.
We’ve never had anything like this before :)
No wonder his property on Booking.com has a 10/10 rating, with more than three hundred reviews (I’ve never seen that in more than 10 years of using Booking.com!).
It’s a pity we’re only staying here for one night. You could say we were lucky and there was a vacancy, so I was able to book this place.
Otherwise, everything at Jerónimo’s is reserved months in advance.

We lived in a two-story house on the corner; the entire second floor was ours (the part with three large brown windows)

A small kitchen and stairs to the terrace

Our terrace with a view of the church. The last sunshine. In just half an hour, the downpour will begin...
While the sun is shining, we’re having coffee with a pastry that Jeronimo treated us to.
What’s interesting is that I would never have chosen such a pastry for myself in my life.
But it turned out to be so delicious that the next day we went to the same pastry shop and bought another one :)
And it smelled incredibly good too!
Spaniards call this pastry Palmeras.
Its shape resembles a heart. It’s puff pastry with a very thin layer of delicious cream, and chocolate on top.

A pastry, on the table at the bottom right. Delicious!
Because of the endless downpour that started as soon as we drank our coffee and continued until night, we didn’t go for an evening walk around Ronda, as planned.
We just lounged around in our little house.

Dinner. Very tasty :)
