Day 7: January 28

The temperature outside the car is dropping rapidly as we climb into the mountains. If it was about 16 degrees in Tejeda, now it is already around 8. It is very beautiful here, with pine forests along the road.

When we arrive at the parking area near the Roque Nublo rocks, the car shows 6 degrees Celsius. It’s cloudy and cold, and we decide not to go up directly to Roque Nublo, but to just take a little walk around the area.

Today there are many clouds, but thanks to that it sometimes becomes so indescribably beautiful when the sun shines through the thick clouds and the light is scattered in such an amazing way that it feels as though we are in some unreal world. As if the whole world were permeated with a golden glow, woven from something magical.

We continue on, often stopping to take photos. We arrive in the town of Teror, which had received many good reviews. It turns out to be a fairly noisy and large little town. But the center itself is small, just a couple of streets, and very charming. We walk along the main street, drink delicious coffee with milk near the cathedral (the coffee was so good that Volchy even agreed to have two cups :), walk around the cathedral, and return to the parking lot…

It was such a good day, leisurely, beautiful, full, harmonious. A wonderful ending to our trip. Gran Canaria is much more beautiful than neighboring Tenerife. Only next time I would go there in the summer…
