Puerto Madryn
Chile 2023
Breakfast in the hotel restaurant. We started with coffee with milk.
Puerto Madryn is located on the shore of the bay.
From July to December, southern right whales swim here.
If you’re lucky, you can see them right from the shore. That’s what we were hoping for.
For this, we went for a drive along the bay’s coastline.
Part of the road was closed, and we took a detour.
The road along the bay coast is gravel. In the first half of the day it was sunny and there were very beautiful clouds.
Our first stop.. In the distance, we saw a whale. The only one all day.
The whale is very far away. I thought again how great it would be if we had our own binoculars...
Next stop. Serzhyk is going to climb all the way to the top.
Finally climbed it :)
Our last stop is El Doradillo Beach. There are beautiful beaches here. We happily sat on the shore for a while and listened to the ocean...
Today we are moving to another hotel.
This is a small private hotel with just 3 rooms on the outskirts of Puerto Madryn.
The owner, Daniel, designed it himself.
Each room has its own style. Our room is in the gaucho style, of the Argentine cowboys.
First floor - living room and kitchen
Second floor - bedroom
Dinner. This time, very tasty Malbec wine. Price does matter after all (at least sometimes)...
