Chile 2023
Today we have a packed program.
First, we’re going to see the salt flat Salar de Aguas Calientes Sur.
It is 150 km away.

Around are volcanoes and mountains. The clouds in the sky are incredible.

On the way, we made a stop at the canyon of a dried-up river.

It is incredibly beautiful here. The altitude above sea level is 4000 m.
It is cold and the wind is very, very strong. It is so strong that when I was walking the way I usually walk, it literally knocked me off my feet.
I had to strain hard to walk straight.
It was hard to breathe. As Serzhyk said, it seemed like the wind was blowing the air away.

White all around — it’s salt again.

I’ve never seen anything like this anywhere. It’s very beautiful.

Such a variety of vivid colors — the blue of the water and sky, pink earth, and yellow bushes. Too bad you can’t stand there long in such a strong wind.

There were cool flat stones here; it was pleasant to lie on them, they were warm, and the wind wasn’t felt as strongly.

On the way back home, we stopped to see Laguna Miscanti.
We arrived in the evening, and they were almost closing already (here, almost all natural attractions are open only during certain hours and are closed by a barrier gate).
So we barely walked around there. We only took a couple of photos and headed home.

We arrived home at sunset. The mountains were such a beautiful color.

Preparing dinner. Serzhyk made us falafel!
