Breakfast
First, in the city, we tried to exchange our last 100 dollars.
All the exchange offices were closed (Monday morning....)
Serzhyk suggested asking at the souvenir shop (he had read that this is how it "works" here).
The seller was very happy with our 100 dollars and gave us a prepared bundle of 100,000 Argentine pesos.
Now we can move on!
On the way to Perito Moreno. We pass a very beautiful lake surrounded by snow-capped mountains.
There it appeared in the distance — the glacier
Walking paths with beautiful viewing platforms have been made near the glacier. There are several routes.
We chose one of them.
Pedestrian path "opposite" the glacier
Observation deck overlooking Perito Moreno
I know that photos do not convey the incredible nature of this place.
The glacier is huge, its height is approximately 50–70 meters (the height varies in different places).
While we were standing and watching the glacier, a tourist catamaran arrived. The catamaran looks so small compared to the glacier.
Following the route along the lake
During the day we went on a catamaran excursion.
The catamaran gets quite close to the glacier (from the viewing platforms, after all, it’s still quite far away, and I wanted to see the glacier up close).
I probably expected more.
But I still liked it; up close, you feel even more how majestic it is.
In addition, the lighting was very beautiful (we were again very lucky with the weather!), the glacier was blue, and in some places a deep blue color.
Sailing by catamaran to Perito Moreno
We’re in front of the glacier :)
You can see a little how blue it is with blue veins
And how huge it is, just a wall of ice.
After the catamaran ride, we returned to the park again, walked a little more along the paths, and chose a different route.
It was already evening, and there were far fewer people.
We listened to the chunks of ice crashing into the water...
A strange feeling from that sound, a feeling of immense power.
Another route

A few more zoomed-in photos of the glacier.
Saying goodbye to Perito Moreno.
In the evening, we decided to go to a restaurant.
We found a restaurant with very good reviews.
A gift from the restaurant — warm bread with butter. How delicious!
The main dish was a skillet for two with fried beef, potatoes, and other vegetables. The skillet was pretty good, but the bread was better :)
Our route for today is 80 km one way to Perito Moreno.
